The Houghton University experience in Buffalo empowers confidence in student voices as they become ethical leaders through an educational experience that is rooted in community, moral and intellectual traditions. Low tuition, combined with state and federal financial aid, allowed 100% of the students from the class of 2022 who completed most of their coursework in Buffalo to graduate without taking on any student loan debt.

Houghton students in Buffalo receive a Christ-centered university education by completing courses full or part-time during the day, evening, or weekends. This unique education allows students to remain fully embedded in their cultural and religious community as they pursue their first college degree. Coursework can be taken in Houghton's vibrant and supportive learning community at the Buffalo extension site located in the King Urban Life Center. Degrees are conferred from Houghton University in Houghton, NY. Most coursework will be completed at the Buffalo extension site located in the King Urban Life Center. Students’ required capstone course will be held on the Houghton, NY campus and emphasize the learning outcomes for the entire program.
